Cylinder Repairs

We offer a free inspect and quotation service for repairing hydraulic cylinders, in order to quote our engineers will strip down the cylinder and make a full assessment before discussing all possible solutions with you. We offer repairs as simple as a re-seal to a full recondition of all components. New piston rods can be manufactured from chrome bar or we have the facility to re-chrome the original rod, sometimes this process provides a more cost effective repair to manufacturing a new rod especially on deep hole drilled, telescopic and positional feedback cylinders. Repaired cylinders are function tested in-house as part of our quality management system and are issued with a unique serial number which is logged in our asset register for any future traceability requirements. All fully refurbished cylinders are covered by a 6 month warranty *.

Asset Management

Quality is at the forefront of everything we do here at Christy Hydraulics, all cylinders whether they are supplied new or refurbished are allocated a unique serial number which is stamped or marked on the body of the cylinder. All details appertaining to the cylinder including pressures and testing criteria are logged to ensure full traceability. This also allows us to notify you when your equipment is due a service to ensure your operations are fully supported and any reactive repairs and costly downtime are avoided.
